CFCC’s Students for a Free Tibet travels to DC

Marah Litchford, a CFCC Religion Instructor, recently traveled in March 2016 with a CFCC student group, Students for a Free Tibet, to Washington DC to meet with congressional representatives on behalf of The International Campaign for Tibet.

The students also contacted local government and successfully convinced local Representative Mark Rouzer to sign on to a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry calling for accountability for human rights violations in China.

This student group was featured in an international human rights publication, Tibet Press Watch. Student group president Isidro Moreno-Vega and student Allisha LaGrange are in one of the photos below.

Midsummer Impression Print Exhibition at CFCC’s Wilma W. Daniels Gallery

Steamroller prints produced at the Pedvale Open-Air Art Museum, Sabile, Latvia 2015 – Works by Paulis Liepa (Latvia), Laura Feldberga (Latvia), Ieva Maurīte (Latvia), Simona Bagdonaite (Lithuania) and Ben Billingsley (USA)

The show starts June 22, and the 4th Friday reception is June 24 6-9 pm at the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery.



Ben Billingsley, CFCC Art Instructor, Makes Large Prints in Wilson Center Courtyard

Ben Billingsley, CFCC Art Instructor, and artist Chris Topher recently used the courtyard at the Humanities and Fine Arts Center to make large prints with a sod roller.  Go here for more photos:
