CFCC Feminism Forum Organized by Yuna Shin

The newly formed CFCC Feminist Alliance will host a public forum on Thursday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. in S002 on the topic of feminism and feminist approaches to instruction.

Dr. Eric Brandon to Participate in Phi Theta Kappa Sponsored Debate at CFCC

Phi Theta Kappa Annual Debate this Thursday, November 3, at 3:15 pm in U-170


The debate will be conducted by Faculty, Staff, and Students, and it will be moderated by Dr. Schulte, Advisor to the CFCC Phi Theta Kappa Chapter.  Dr. Eric Brandon, CFCC Philosophy Instructor, will participate on one of the debate teams.


The topic is: “Should the U.S. take military action to stop human rights violations such as genocide?”


This should be a lively debate, including related issues, such as, “When would we do this? Are there tipping points? What have been our actions in the past?”


Open to the public.  There will be an opportunity for questions and answers at the end.

2016 Annual Faculty Art Show at CFCC

The show runs until November 11th in the Wilma W. Daniels Art Gallery on the CFCC campus. The reception is Friday, October 28 6-9 pm. The Wilma W. Daniels Gallery is located at 200 Hanover Street, in the first floor of the Hanover Parking Deck in downtown Wilmington.  See poster for details.

Millicent Scowlworthy, CFCC Drama Production opening Nov. 17

Millicent Scowlworthy by Rob Handel opens at CFCC Nov. 17.


The fall play is a collaboration between the DRA 170 Play Production class taught by Jessica Gaffney and the DRA 140 Stage Craft class taught by Jack Landry.


The DRA 170 Play Production students serve as actors, designers and stage managers while the DRA 140 Stage Craft students serve as technicians building the set, working on lighting and sound.

Jessica Gaffney to be Makeup Coordinator for Zombie Walk

CFCC Drama Instructor Jessica Gaffney will be the makeup coordinator for the local Zombie Walk.  This ninth annual Zombie Walk will benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.  See the article for details.
