The Humanities and Fine Arts Department offers a variety of Religion courses that introduce students to the practices, historical development, and conceptual foundations of religions across the globe and in America. Therea are also two courses focused on scholarly study of the Bible. These courses appeal to students seeking to understand religion as part of the human experience and to students looking for a deeper understanding of particular religions.
All Religion courses can be used to satisfy Humanities/Fine Arts general education requirements for the A.A. and A.S. degrees, and all Religion courses can be used as elective credit for such degrees. The Religion courses at Cape Fear Community College are an excellent start toward a major in Religion at UNCW or other 4-year colleges and universities.
