All applications for employment must be submitted using the online Cape Fear Community College application form. Position vacancies at be found on the CFCC Employment Opportunities page.
No action will be taken simply on submission of a resume or letter of interest.
All interviews for positions with CFCC use a search committee comprised of a cross section of our full time employees.
The application review process begins after the closing date for applications. Designated staff members in the Human Resources Department review the information submitted by all applicants to ensure each candidate’s qualifications match the minimum position requirements.
After review by Human Resources, the applications that meet the minimum position requirements are then moved forward to the Chair of the Search Committee.
The Search Committee then reviews the applications that met the minimum position requirements and makes selection of candidates for interviews based on the information presented on the application. The timeframe involved in the search process varies, depending upon the schedules of those members of the committee.
Candidates being offered an interview may not be contacted immediately following the closing date. Your patience in the process is appreciated.
If you are not selected for an interview, your application will be returned to Human Resources and an e-mail will be generated to notify you of that decision.
Those candidates interviewed by the search committee but not selected for recommendation for hire to the president will be notified via e-mail by Human Resources.
You may not receive notification if you submitted a resume in lieu of an application, you responded after the closing deadline, or you withdrew from consideration.
CFCC does not typically pay interview or moving costs.
If you are interested in another position in the future, you will be required to submit a new online application for that position.
