This year the History Teaching Alliance has chosen to focus on Cultural History of the 1960's and beyond. Our first event will be: Exhibiting the Bicentennial: A Curator's Tour of Dis-Spirit of '76: Bicentennial Commemorations and the American Seventies Place: UNC-Wilmington, Randall Library Date: Thursday, October 28, 2010 Time: 4:30pm Graduate Student Curator Katie Nowack and Assistant Professor of History Tammy Gordon will lead a tour and discussion about the exhibit Dis-Spirit of '76, a graduate student curated exhibit about the ways in which Americans understood the history of the American Revolution through popular and material culture. Dis-Spirit of '76 is in the Public History Graduate Student Gallery on the second floor of the William Randall Library. All are welcome and warmly invited to this free event. |
