PRODUCTS

I.          COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides an overview of interior finishing materials and the selection of

quality products. Topics include hard and resilient floor coverings; wall coverings

And finishes; ceilings, moldings, and cabinet and furniture construction techniques;

and other interior components.

 II.       COURSE OBJECTIVES

 
Upon completion, students should be able to recognize and use correct terminology,

select appropriate materials for interior surfaces, and choose furniture based on sound

construction
 

III.       COURSE CONTENT

 
This course exposes the student to a number of products that are used extensively in the

Interior Design profession. These products are primarily building materials and finish

materials found on construction sites. The information lays the foundation for students

who will be working with contractors and other building professionals.
