The table below includes all results where CFCC students’ responses reveal a statistical significant difference when compared to the mean results of the comparison group. The comparison group for each year is made up of all colleges participating in the CCSSE Survey.
Results Summary:
- In 2005 & 2008 CFCC students indicated they engage in “serious conversations” with students of a different race/ethnicity more often than do their peers.
- In 2005 & 2008 CFCC students indicated they engage in “serious conversations” with students who differ in terms of religious beliefs, political opinions, or personal values more often than do their peers.
- *In 2005 & 2008 CFCC students indicated they skipped class more often than did their peers. In 2011 there is no significant difference in students' responses compared to their peers.
- *In 2008 CFCC students indicated they are less satisfied with academic advising/planning than are their peers. (In 2005 and 2011 there were no statistically significant differences in CFCC students’ responses compared to the responses of their peers.)
- In 2005 CFCC students indicated they were less satisfied with career counseling services than were their peers. There is no statistically significant difference in CFCC students’ responses compared to the responses of their peers in 2008 or 2011.
- In 2005 CFCC students indicated they spent less time caring for dependents living with them than did their peers.
- In 2011 CFCC students indicated they used e-mail to communicate with their instructors more often than their peers. In 2005 and 2008 there is no significant difference in students' responses compared to their peers.
- In 2011 CFCC students indicated they used a computer lab less often did their peers. In 2005 and 2008, there was no significant difference in students' responses.
