Application Process
- All applications for employment must be submitted using the online Cape Fear Community College application form. Position vacancies at be found on the CFCC Employment Opportunity page.
- No action will be taken simply on submission of a resume or letter of interest.
- All interviews for positions with CFCC use a search committee comprised of a cross section of our full time employees.
- The application review process begins after the closing date for applications. The Personnel Director reviews all applications to ensure that, based upon the information presented on the application, applications from candidates whose qualifications match the position requirements have been received.
- The applications are turned over to the Chair of the Search Committee following the review by the Personnel Director.
- The Search Committee reviews the referred applications and selects candidates for interview candidates whose qualifications match the position requirements based upon the information presented on the application. The timeframe involved will vary depending upon the schedules of those members of the committee.
- Candidates being offered an interview may not be contacted immediately following the closing date. Your patience in the process is appreciated.
- If you are not selected for an interview, your application will be returned to personnel and a letter will be generated to notify you of that decision.
- Those candidates interviewed by the search committee but not selected for recommendation for hire to the president will be notified via letter by the Personnel department.
- You may not receive a letter of notification if you submitted a resume in lieu of an application, you responded after the closing deadline, or you withdrew from consideration.
- CFCC does not pay interview or moving costs.
- If you are interested in another position in the future, you will be required to submit a new online application for that position.
