To Submit a SafeAssignment

In certain writing-intensive courses, such as English courses, you will be asked to submit your assignments using SafeAssign Safe Assign Logo rather than the normal Assignments Tool.

The SafeAssign tool looks a little different, but functions the same when submitting documents.

To Submit a SafeAssignment:

  1. From inside your course site, click on the course area where your SafeAssignment is stored Safe Assign Logo.
    • Note: Your instructor can place the assignment anywhere in the course site.
  2. Click on the View/Complete link
  3. You may choose to type a note to your professor in the Comments field.
  4. Click on the Choose File Choose File Button button to search and select and upload your file.
  5. Checking “I agree to submit my paper to the Global Reference Database at Global Reference” means you agree to voluntarily store your paper in the Global Database.
    • Note: Bb does not claim ownership of your paper. You are only donating a copy to a closed Blackboard Global Reference Database.
  6. Click Submit
    • The file will then upload and you will receive a success message when the upload has completed.

Note: You must stay on this page until you receive this success message; otherwise your assignment will not be submitted. This might take a few minutes.
