"Dangling" decimals are not only unsightly, they are just WRONG!
-
If you place a zero behind a decimal (.0) not only is it wrong, but is illegal in 15 states.
-
Correct and proper rounding procedure: If less than one (1) cc then round to the nearest hundredth place (0.6666cc is rounded to .67cc). This only goes to further show that if a number is greater than 1cc, one would round to the nearest TENTH (1.68cc is rounded to 1.7cc).
-
If the student does not show their work, the answer is wrong, and the student must clean the lab after the elimination returns.
-
In IV calculations, the gtts/minute must be rounded. (ex: 20.83gtts/hr must be rounded to 21gtts/hour. This makes real sense to those of us who would not dare to measure 0.83 of a drop.)
