Patrick G. Hogan
Dean of Vocational and Technical Education. Manage 6 departments: Allied Health, Business Technologies, Engineering Technology, Marine Technology, Public Service and Vocational. There are over 50 vocational and technical programs leading to associates of applied science (AAS) degrees, diplomas and certificates. The division has over 130 full-time employees and offers programs at our downtown Wilmington campus, North campus (in Castle Hayne), Burgaw campus, and the New Hanover and Pender County prisons.
Previous assignments at Cape Fear Community College include seven years as lead instructor for the Computer Information Technology program, and five and a half years as chair of Business Technologies.
Retired U. S. Navy Commander following 20 years of service. Designated jet Naval Aviator and Aerospace Engineering Duty Officer.
Living in Wilmington since May 1997.
Married to the former W. Elaine Edwards. Three children: 2 graduates of UNC at Wilmington and one son graduated from Jacksonville University and UNC at Wilmington.
Active in Boy Scouting, volunteer activities, and community involvement.
