Marine Acquisition, a division of Veritas DGC Inc., is currently
recruiting for individuals from all disciplines of marine
data acquisition. We have a rewarding opportunity for a Source
Technician in our various global offshore locations.
The SOURCE TECHNICIAN is responsible for:

The successful operation and maintenance of the high-pressure
seismic source arrays (air guns) minimizing operational downtime.
·
Ensuring that all components within the source department
are deployed and retrieved safely, efficiently and effectively
to minimize down time.
·
Ensuring that routine and incidental source maintenance requirements
are met through expeditious use of non-recording time.
·
Design and propose modifications to existing acquisition
equipment to meet changing operational demands.
Requirements:
·
AS Degree or above in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic
discipline or related field with an emphasis in hydraulics,
pneumatics or robotics, a plus.
·
Must have a valid passport before starting employment or
the ability to obtain one.
·
Must be able to travel and work offshore for extended periods
of time (rotations are currently 6 weeks offshore/6 weeks
leave).
·
Team player with strong interpersonal communication and organizational
skills.
·
Proficient computer skills.
