C & C Technologies, the undisputed
worldwide leader in deepwater autonomous underwater vehicle
(AUV) operations,
is now hiring technical personnel to support its AUV operations,
as well as other high technology operations.
C & C Technologies is based in Lafayette, Louisiana
and employs over 300 people with offices in Houston, Texas;
Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Luanda,
Angola; London, United Kingdom; Cape Town, South Africa and
Singapore. In addition to AUV projects, C & C Technologies
is a leader in multibeam bathymetry surveys, marine construction
surveys, and in the application of high accuracy GPS technology
to land and marine surveys.
C & C provides survey services to the oil and gas industry,
engineering firms, and government entities. The company’s
fleet of AUVs are equipped with state-of-the-art remote sensors
capable of providing detailed information about the ocean
bottom to depths of 4,500 meters. C & C’s AUV program
has revolutionized the way the deepwater surveys are performed.
C & C AUVs
The C & C AUV fleet has collected data over more than
44,750 miles of ocean bottom offshore of 11 countries for
46 unique and varied clients. Although most of the work is
for the oil and gas industry, C & C has also performed
surveys for the Minerals Management Service, the NOAA Office
of Ocean Exploration, and for several universities.
C & C’s AUVs, powered by fuel cells, operate for
up to 60 hours at 3.7 knots. Navigation includes DVL, acoustic
(USBL), DGPS, inertial, and other techniques. The sensor
suite includes a multibeam echosounder, a dual frequency
side scan sonar, a subbottom profiler, and a CTD. Data is
stored on the AUV and decimated data is transmitted acoustically
to the ship in real time.
Employees
One of the most important characteristics of C & C employees
is a positive, can-do attitude. This includes getting along
with co-workers, responding politely to clients, working
as a team member, functioning well under pressure and responding
in a positive manner to supervision.

C & C is currently looking for surveyors to work on
land as well as offshore on hydrographic and geophysical
survey vessels. We also have positions available for Offshore
