REMSA has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, results
oriented environmental professional.
Educational Background: Degree in Ocean or Marine Technology
or Electronic Engineering
or related
Responsibilities: Testing, configuration,
set-up, and installation of electronic data collection platforms,
water level and meteorological
sensors and related support components; Life cycle maintenance
(preventive, repair, upgrade and calibration) of the measurement
instrumentation; Analyzing technical data received from the
measurement instrumentation; Interfacing with other divisions
which use or rely upon specific data; Operate a government
vehicles in performance of these tasks; Provide verbal and
written reports to Lab Team Leader.
Requirements: The incumbent will be responsible
for working with state-of-the-art Oceanographic Data Collection
Platforms
and measurement systems
and related equipment. Occasional travel may be required.
Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
plus overtime.
