Are you a firefighter who needs training, or are you interested in becoming a firefighter? Our fire training division offers fire and rescue training classes at fire departments in New Hanover and Pender counties. Classes to provide NC Fire and Rescue Certifications (through the NC Fire & Rescue Commission), courses for re-certifications, and courses in the latest technology are offered locally on a regular basis.

NC Rapid Intervention (RIC) School    

September 17-20, 2018

The 2018 NC RIC School will be held September 17-20. The North Carolina Rapid Intervention School is designed to expose the student to an enhanced skill set that will prepare them to operate as a member of a Rapid Intervention Crew (Meets NFPA 1407 Standard for Training Fire Service Rapid Intervention Crews). Upon successful completion of the class, participants will receive NC Fire & Rescue Commission RIC certification. Cost of the school is $150.00. For more information call 910-362-7711.
