FAQ – Real Estate Licensing School at CFCC
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions….
How do I apply at Cape Fear Community College?
Applying to Cape Fear Community College is simple. You will complete the online application process as a “Special Credit” student so that you do not have to worry about transcripts or placement tests. Once accepted into the school, you can easily register for the Broker Pre-licensing real estate course – RLS 112. There is also a very beneficial, compatible Real Estate Math course (RLS 113) offered simultaneously during the semester. We suggest students take this Real Estate Math course while taking our Broker Pre-licensing course, but this is optional. You will not need to take placement tests for our Real Estate courses or have college transcripts sent to us.
What are the costs?
The Real Estate Licensing courses at CFCC are affordable and competitively priced for our area. For the RLS 112: Broker Pre-licensing course, tuition is $470 for In-State students. There are tuition payment plans available through the Business Office.
How long will the course take?
The Broker Pre-Licensing course takes one semester to complete. Fall and Spring semesters at CFCC run 16 weeks, and the Summer semester runs 10 weeks. Real estate classes in the 2019 summer semester begin May 20th and run through August 1st. Students may apply to the college and register for courses online or contact Student Services at the north campus 362-7523 for Sue or 362-7523 for Debbi.
