The Phlebotomy program at CFCC helps students learn the skills needed for the proper collection of blood and other specimens used for diagnostic testing.  Emphasis is placed on ethics, legalities, medical terminology, safety and universal precautions, health care delivery systems, patient relations, anatomy and physiology, and specimen collection.  Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate competence in the theoretical comprehension of phlebotomy techniques.  The purpose of the club is to help students do things related to phlebotomy in the community and on campus.  Students will also raise funds through the club to help off-set some of the costs of the National Certification and a pinning ceremony.
