Student Occupational Therapy Association Club (SOTA)
The Student Occupational Therapy Association Club (SOTA) is open to students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at CFCC. The primary mission of the club is to raise awareness of the profession of OT both within the college and the community. The club is also dedicated to support, through monetary contributions and participation in fund raising events, local and nationally based charitable organizations such as Carolina Canines, The March of Dimes, and the ALS foundation. Annual activities include bake sales, salad sales, sale of stuffed animals and events such as ice skating. In addition, students participate in, and represent CFCC, at events such as the walks for Carolina Canines, March of Dimes and ALS. The club also participates in spring festival events at CFCC and in health fairs sponsored by the college. The club and associated activities are designed and managed by student leaders who are elected annually by their peers.
