Vice President-Yoel Del Rio

DSC_6066

My name is Yoel Del Rio. I am 33 years old, and I was born in Puerto Rico. I am a non-traditional full time student at CFCC in the Information System College Transfer Program. I have been married for thirteen years. Our household is bilingual, dedicated to education, and focused on career success. My wife attends CFCC part-time towards the Ultrasound Technician Program, and together we support our wonderful children who attend elementary school.

Owning my own technology company paved the way for my interest in the Information Systems program, but I want to take it to the next level, for this I need education. My decision to dedicate my full attention to my academic career is complemented by maturity, one that will take full advantage of the community college’s benefits. My academic goal is to attain my Associates in Arts degree from CFCC and a Bachelors in Science in Information Systems.

In addition to doing my coursework and caring for my family, another one of my goals as a student is to give back to the community. Being a good steward by giving back and encouraging others to overcome adversity puts my self-interests aside.

I am honored to serve as your Student Government Vice-president.
