Your residency classification is what determines if you pay in-state or out-of-state tuition. <\/div>

All students are required to have a valid Residency Determination from the North Carolina Residency Determination Service to enroll. Once completed, you will be assigned a Residency Certification Number (RCN).<\/p>\n

We recommend you have access to the following information before you start your determination:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Driver\u2019s License or Non-Driver ID<\/li>\n
    2. Tax Return Information<\/li>\n
    3. Vehicle License & Registration Information<\/li>\n
    4. Social Security Number<\/li>\n
    5. Voter Registration (if applicable)<\/li>\n
    6. Other Documents (Requested by RDS)<\/li>\n
    7. Immigration Documents (if applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      If you are under the age of 25, you will most likely need to complete residency with a parent or legal guardian.<\/p>\n

      Need assistance completing residency application? Contact the Residency Determination Service at 844-319-3640 <\/a> or rdsinfo@ncresidency.org <\/a> .<\/p>\n

      Need access to a computer, scanner, and fax machine? Visit CFCC’s Enrollment Center at the downtown campus.<\/p>\n

      If your residency tuition classification changes and you need CFCC to update your student record,<\/strong> please email residency@cfcc.edu. Remember to include your RCN number in any correspondence.<\/p>\n

      If you are classified as an out-of-state student and feel this is incorrect,<\/strong> please contact RDS right away and begin the recommended steps to have your residency re-evaluated. RDS will typically ask you to complete a re-consideration and\/or an appeal.<\/p>\n

      If RDS requests additional documentation from you,<\/strong> please pay close attention to deadlines and follow up with RDS if you have any questions or concerns.<\/p>\n

      Remember, if your status changes, please notify CFCC right away at residency@cfcc.edu <\/a> . Please include your name and RCN number.<\/p>\n

      If you are currently enrolled or previously attended a North Carolina college or university, please review this information:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      If you have a valid residency status that will not expire before the term you wish to enroll begins,<\/strong> you will not need to complete the residency process again. You can use your current\/valid residency certification number for CFCC enrollment.
