Aviation Summer Camp will provide an immersive experience for students interested in any aspect of aviation. Classes will be offered by instructor pilots certificated in private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, and tailwheel flying. Classes will meet at Stag Air Park, a private airfield located near Burgaw, which is home to aviation enthusiasts and their aircraft. Camp attendees will experience real-world learning and will be introduced to a large variety of potential careers in aviation. Topics covered will include navigation, aerodynamics, weather, communications, aircraft maintenance, and more. Students will be treated to airfield tours and hands-on interaction with aircraft . This basic small engine course is designed to provide the student with hands-on knowledge of two (trimmer) and four cycle (mower) small gasoline engine repairs found in typical homeowner applications. The student will learn the fundamentals of basic small engines in order to diagnose and repair common problems.
