The students from five counties throughout North Carolina participated in the five-week course and passed the state exam.<\/p>\n<p>Offered to detention officers from across the region, the state-mandated course load requires 174 hours of instruction, but these students completed 196 hours of instruction. Extra hours were built to account for subject control techniques, contraband searches, a mock trial for the investigative process, and extra time for review sessions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis training is essential to ensure the safety and security of those working in detention facilities and those confined,\u201d said CFCC Director of Law Enforcement Programs Tim Fuss.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Congratulations to DOCC graduates from the following facilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brunswick County Detention Facility<\/li>\n<li>Davidson County Detention Facility<\/li>\n<li>Onslow County Detention Facility<\/li>\n<li>New Hanover County Detention Facility<\/li>\n<li>Sampson County Detention Facility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cDetention Officers are unsung heroes who play a vital role in keeping our communities safe,\u201d said CFCC President Jim Morton. &#8220;We proudly offer this essential training for detention officers across the state.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"> <a class=\"button px-5\" href=\"\/public-safety\/law-enforcement-training\/\" a href=\u201d_blank\u201d> <span class=\"text-highlight\">Law Enforcement<\/span> Training Schedule <\/a> \n<hr\/>\n<p><strong>Graduates:<\/strong> Brunswick County \u2013 A.
