Ms. Kate Santhuff has worked at CFCC since 2007, serving as the Liaison and Advisor to the Wilmington Early College on the north campus, teaching Communications and ACA courses and running the college’s Service-Learning program. In 2018, she moved into a new position teaching Communications full-time and serving as the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society Faculty Advisor on the downtown campus.

Ms. Santhuff has invested her career in education: working as a high school classroom teacher, a college professor, and a teacher training specialist. She has held management positions in the education departments of major employers, such as the Public Broadcasting Service(Managing Editor at PBS Teacher Connex from 1995-1998) and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, both in the Washington, DC area. She also co-founded three businesses: an educational resource development and training company, a theatre company, and an online storefront.

Ms. Santhuff is married and is a mother to two young adults, in addition to being an educator, a public speaker, and an entrepreneur. Her favorite activities outside of school are spending time with family and friends, volunteering in the community, participating in political discourse and activism, communicating online, cooking and eating international recipes, writing, traveling, and walking her two dogs. Her family has hosted seven exchange students from all over the world, and they love international travel and culture.
