Gift of Education Event Students

The Gift of Education event has a tremendous history and is a great investment in the future leaders of our region. Affordable education is one of the best ways to ensure individuals and families a lifetime of financial stability, health, and productivity. The Cape Fear Community College Foundation makes education possible for many who could not afford it any other way by providing scholarships and academic program support.

This year, the 14th Annual Gift of Education event is on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at the Wilson Center in downtown Wilmington. We offer two seatings (breakfast and lunch) to accommodate over 800 attendees. Last year we raised $314,981 to benefit CFCC students through the Gift of Education event. From its inception in 2005, more than 1.3 million dollars have been raised and more than 2,200 CFCC students have been assisted with funds from this event. 100% of donations to the Gift of Education event will go to support student scholarships and academic programs.

Almost 80% of CFCC students remain in the southeast NC region after graduation and provide many wonderful services that touch our lives every day. CFCC graduates fuel our local economy and provide skilled labor for all industries – from health care workers, builders, and tradesmen to service personnel and professionals.

This academic year, we hope to be able to fund over 800 students with a total scholarship budget of over $750,000.

Will you join us? Save your seat now – RSVP at cfcc.edu/rsvp-goe.
