Part-time and full-time curriculum instructors in any department of the College are eligible for the recognition. Nominations are accepted in the spring semester, and the recipient of MGA award is announced each year at CFCC\u2019s August In-Service. The recipient will receive a medallion to wear at official ceremonies and a one-time stipend of $2,000.<\/p>\n<h4>Have a great teacher?<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"> <a class=\"button px-5\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScJOVn5PNaiHrnXX8m1OJNZOMMZjHlJtOWPKX8BJzzWRiRonQ\/viewform?usp=sf_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span class=\"text-highlight\">Nominate<\/span> Now <\/a> \n<hr\/>\n<p><strong>Only students are allowed to nominate for the Marilyn Goodman Anderson Award, and all nominators&#8217; names shall be kept confidential.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before you submit your nomination, please review the Award Criteria below:<\/p>\n<p>This award recognizes excellence in teaching and teaching-related activities that foster students\u2019 desires for lifetime learning and success.<\/p>\n<p>The following teaching qualities shall be considered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Significant, positive impact on students\u2019 lives<\/li>\n<li>Teaching philosophy<\/li>\n<li>Mastery of subject<\/li>\n<li>Student perceptions of teaching effectiveness and impact<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"clear\">Timeline<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>March 28, 2025: Nominations Due.<\/li>\n<li>April 25, 2025: Instructor Portfolios Due<\/li>\n<li>August 2025: Award winner announced at CFCC In-Service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<!--\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"> <a class=\"button px-5\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/capefearcc\/photos\/?tab=album&album_id=10158832397767878\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> <span class=\"text-highlight\">2020<\/span> MGA Nominees <\/a> \n\n\n-->\n<h4>Criteria for Nomination and Selection<\/h4>\n<p>The final selection for the Marilyn Goodman Anderson Award will be determined by a committee composed of the President\u2019s designee, the President of the Faculty Association, the President of the CFCC Student Government Association, and the past two winners of the MGA Award.
