Cape Fear Community College will approve service animals to accompany students, employees, or visitors with disabilities in all areas of the college where individuals without disabilities are allowed. A service animal is defined as a dog that has been trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, in accordance with local, state, and federal law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, service animals in training shall be permitted to accompany a trainer for the purpose of training to become service animals.
