The booklet lists <a href=\"https:\/\/piercegroupbenefits.com\/subcontent\/cape-fear-community-college-benefits-booklet-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> all of the current optional benefits available including Dental, Vision, FSA, Group Term Life and Ancillary Benefits. <\/a> \n<p>To make changes to your optional benefits outside of Open Enrollment, employees must do so within\u00a030 calendar days of a qualifying life event as established by the IRS. This plan will issue a debit card for access to your funds. These funds may be used to pay for IRS eligible health, dental and vision expenses, and some limited over-the-counter items. Visit the Ameriflex website to file claims, upload receipts, view your account balance, find eligible items, and view helpful resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dependent Care FSA<\/strong><br \/>\nEligible full-time employees may allocate up to $2,500 for married filing separately and up to $5,000 for single or married filing jointly in 2023 on a pre-tax basis from their paychecks and place it into a dependent day care flexible spending account. These funds may be used on eligible dependent care expenses, however, no debit card is provided for this program. The Guaranteed Issue amount of coverage is only available during the New Hire special enrollment period.
