ServSafe Certification

The ServSafe certification course will provide up to date information for all employee levels on all aspects of handling food. The class will prepare students to pass the ServSafe certification exam. At the conclusion of the course, the students will take the National Restaurant Association Exam. A score of 75 or higher is required to obtain ServSafe certification.

Students are required to purchase an exam answer sheet and bring it to class. It is recommended (but not required) that you purchase the ServSafe Manager Book, 7th Edition which includes the exam answer sheet.

The book and/or answer sheet can be purchased at the downtown or north campus book stores or online at the ServSafe product page .

CFCC offers both a 16-hour and 8-hour version of the class.

The 16-hour version is recommended for students new to the industry.

ServSafe Exam

This is for students who have recently taken the National Restaurant Association Exam and need to re-test and/or students who are up for re-certification and only need to take the exam. Students will have 4 hours to sit for the exam and must bring a ServSafe bubble sheet with them.
