{"id":1934,"date":"2023-03-07T15:45:23","date_gmt":"2023-03-07T20:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cfcc.edu\/job-training\/?page_id=1934"},"modified":"2026-01-15T11:21:39","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T16:21:39","slug":"ccp-pathway-nail-technician","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cfcc.edu\/job-training\/ccp-pathway-nail-technician\/","title":{"rendered":"CCP Pathway: Nail Technician"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>WORKFORCE CONTINUING EDUCATION NAIL TECHNICIAN PATHWAY<\/h4>\n<p>The CCP\/WCEP Nail Technician Pathway offers qualifying 17-year-old high school juniors and seniors tuition-free course hours toward an entry-level job credential, certificate, or diploma for eligible high school students.<\/p>\n<p>This comprehensive course provides instruction and clinical practice in manicuring, nail building (application and maintenance of artificial nails), and pedicuring. The course content includes nail anatomy, disorders of nails, and irregularities of nails; theory and business skills related to manicuring; actual practice in manicuring; and arm, hand, and foot massage.<\/p>\n<p>Nail Tech students must complete 300 hours before applying to the State Board of Cosmetic Arts for examination. Students enrolled only in Nail Tech shall only perform services directly relating to the prescribed course in manicuring.<\/p>\n<p>Please note this is a comprehensive course to provide training for those interested in becoming registered manicurists only and not desiring to become licensed cosmetologists. Courses are offered each semester during daytime (9 am \u2013 3 pm) and evening (5 pm \u2013 10 pm) hours. The days of the week the class is offered vary.
