Registration Requirements<\/h2> <div class=\"iwi-accordion\"> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-container0\"> <a href=\"#\"> What to Expect <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"container0\" class=\"\"> <p>In barber school, cutting hair isn&#8217;t your initial task. You&#8217;ll begin by mastering the fundamentals: studying from textbooks, workbooks, and exam guides. It might take one to two months before you receive your first live client.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, you&#8217;ll delve into the history of barbering, maintaining a professional image, understanding tools and implements, studying bacteriology, sterilization techniques, sanitation practices, and skin disorders. Given the extensive content, weekly tests will be conducted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-0\">Active participation in class is mandatory, and strict adherence to program rules and guidelines is expected. Beyond hair cutting, our curriculum focuses on refining your professional skills and fostering a sense of accountability.<\/p>\n<\/p> <\/div> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-container1\"> <a href=\"#\"> Program Costs <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"container1\" class=\"\"> <ul class=\"pl-3 mb-3 text-dark\" style=\"line-height: 1.7;\">\n<li><strong>Student Permit:<\/strong> $25 (due at registration, payable by credit\/debit card to NC Board of Barber Examiners)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tuition:<\/strong> $190 per course ($760 projected total across 4 courses)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Insurance:<\/strong> $15 (due each fiscal year at registration)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Barber Student Kit:<\/strong> Approximately $1,094 (contains professional tools you will take to your first job; must be purchased prior to day one)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Books (CIMA Access Card):<\/strong> $367 (must be purchased prior to day one)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"mb-0 font-weight-bold\" style=\"color: #00467f;\">\n        The initial estimated cost for books, kit, permit, tuition, and insurance totals approximately $1,685.99. Outstanding flags will cause the registration to be denied.\n    <\/p>\n<\/p> <\/div>  <\/div> <h2 class=\"h4 font-weight-bold mt-5 mb-3\" style=\"color: #00467f;\">Student Information &amp; Policies<\/h2>\n<p class=\"text-dark mb-4\">\n        Any student admitted to the CFCC Barber School must ensure the instructor has an updated name, address, phone number, and emergency contact details on file at all times.\n    <\/p> <div class=\"iwi-accordion\"> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-1\"> <a href=\"#\"> Dress Code <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"1\" class=\"\"> <p>Students are required to wear a white collared shirt paired with black or navy blue pants, a skirt, or a dress on a daily basis. Neckties should be in shades of blue, red, or a combination of both colors. Footwear options include all-black or brown dress shoes. Sneakers are allowed only if they are completely black, without visible writing, designs, logos, or colored soles.<\/p>\n<p>Shirts must be neatly tucked in, and neckties must be worn in a tidy manner. Large dangling earrings and headgear are not permitted. Skirts must reach the knee when sitting. Strapless tops, halter tops, or spaghetti strap tops are not allowed. Sandals, flip-flops, open-toe shoes, and Crocs are strictly prohibited. Pants must be securely fastened at the waist.<\/p>\n<p>Earrings must not exceed quarter-size, and no other body piercings should be visible for safety reasons. Long necklaces must be secured inside your shirt. A maximum of two rings, one bracelet, and one watch are permitted.<\/p>\n<p>Students must practice good hygiene, maintain a neat appearance, and keep hair and beards trimmed. Strong perfumes or fragrances that could be disruptive are prohibited.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-0\">Barber jackets must be clean and worn as a top garment, fully zipped or buttoned at all times while clocked in. Students failing to meet dress code requirements will be dismissed to rectify their attire.<\/p>\n<\/p> <\/div> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-2\"> <a href=\"#\"> eBooks &amp; Technology <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"2\" class=\"\"> <p>CFCC Barber School utilizes instructional materials approved by the NCBBE. Students purchase CIMA Access codes from the CFCC Bookstore to present to the instructor on the first day of class for digital curriculum access.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong> This is a hybrid course. Students must have a laptop or home desktop computer with the Google Chrome browser installed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-0 small text-muted font-italic\">Laptops are available for checkout through the CFCC Library. CFCC Barber School enforces a strict no-excuse policy reflecting the serious responsibilities of licensed public service professionals. The following standards are non-negotiable:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"pl-3 mb-3 text-dark\" style=\"line-height: 1.7;\">\n<li>Student ID cards must be visible and worn at all times on school grounds.<\/li>\n<li>Smocks must be fully zipped while on premises.<\/li>\n<li>Profanity and disrespectful conduct are strictly prohibited.<\/li>\n<li>Students may not leave premises during breaks or lunch without clocking out (violating NCBBE logging rules).<\/li>\n<li>Phone calls must be conducted exclusively during authorized clocked-out breaks.<\/li>\n<li>CFCC is a 100% tobacco-free institution. Smoking on campus or inside vehicles on college property is prohibited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"mb-0\">The North Carolina State Board of Barber Examiners conducts unannounced facility inspections. Any regulatory fines assessed due to an individual student&#8217;s failure to adhere to board rules will remain the sole financial responsibility of that student.<\/p>\n<\/p> <\/div> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-5\"> <a href=\"#\"> Attendance Policy <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"5\" class=\"\"> <p class=\"mb-0\">Regular attendance and active participation are mandatory. Students are responsible for all coursework covered regardless of absence.
