You&#8217;ll begin by mastering the fundamentals: studying from textbooks, workbooks, and exam guides. It might take one to two months before you receive your first live client.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, you&#8217;ll delve into the history of barbering, maintaining a professional image, understanding tools and implements, studying bacteriology, sterilization techniques, sanitation practices, and skin disorders. Given the extensive content, weekly tests will be conducted.<\/p>\n<p>Active participation in class is mandatory, and strict adherence to program rules and guidelines is expected.<br \/>\nBeyond hair cutting, our curriculum focuses on refining your professional skills and fostering a sense of accountability.\n<\/p> <\/div> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-container1\"> <a href=\"#\"> Costs <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"container1\" class=\"\"> <ul>\n<li>Student Permit: $25 (due at registration). Flags on the student record will cause the registration to be denied.\n<\/p> <\/div>  <\/div> <hr class=\"mt-3 mb-3\">\n<h4>Student Information<\/h4>\n<p>Any student admitted to CFCC Barber School will make sure that the instructor has the correct name, address, phone numbers, and emergency contact information on file in the event it becomes necessary to contact the student or if an emergency occurs.<\/p> <div class=\"iwi-accordion\"> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-1\"> <a href=\"#\"> Dress Code <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"1\" class=\"\"> Students are required to wear a white collared shirt paired with black or navy blue pants, a skirt, or a dress on a daily basis. Neckties should be in shades of blue, red, or a combination of both colors. Footwear options include all-black or brown dress shoes. Sneakers are allowed if they are completely black, without any visible writing, designs, logos, or colored soles.<br \/>\nIt is essential that shirts are neatly tucked in, and neckties are worn in a tidy manner. Large dangling earrings and headgear are not permitted. Skirts should be of a length that reaches the knee when sitting. Strapless tops, halter tops, or spaghetti strap tops are not allowed. Sandals, flip-flops, open-toe shoes, and Crocs are also prohibited. Additionally, pants must be securely fastened at the waist.<\/p>\n<p>Earrings should not be larger than a quarter size, for safety reasons no other body piercings should be visible.<\/p>\n<p>Long necklaces should be secured inside your shirt, two rings, one bracelet, and one watch are permitted.<\/p>\n<p>Students must practice good hygiene, be neat in appearance and dress, hair and beards must be neatly trimmed, no strong perfumes or fragrances should be worn that could become disruptive.<\/p>\n<p>Barber jackets must be clean and worn as a top garment zipped or buttoned up neatly at all times while clocked in.<\/p>\n<p>If you need clarification regarding the dress code, please consult the instructor. Students not adhering to the dress code will be required to leave and rectify their attire.\n<\/p> <\/div> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-2\"> <a href=\"#\"> eBooks <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"2\" class=\"\"> CFCC Barber School uses books approved by the NCBBE. Student will purchase CIMA Access codes from the CFCC Bookstore to present to the Instructor on the first day of class for access to course materials.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is a Hybrid course. Students will need a laptop or home desktop computer with the Google Chrome browser installed to access course material.<\/p>\n<p><em>Laptops are available to sign out from the CFCC Library. Ask your instructor for further details.<\/em> <\/div> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-3\"> <a href=\"#\"> Required Tools <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"3\" class=\"\"> <ul>\n<li>Students are required to purchase kits through an agent chosen by the school to ensure the correct materials are received and their materials are consistent with what is deemed necessary for proper instruction. Students are required to have kits purchased prior to their given start date.<\/li>\n<li>The student will need a laptop or tablet for this class. Chromecast laptops and tablets can be purchased at <a href=\"https:\/\/cfcc.edu\/bookstore\/\"> the bookstore <\/a> .<\/li>\n<\/ul> <\/div> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-4\"> <a href=\"#\"> Rules and Regulations <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"4\" class=\"\"> At the start of every course, students are provided with a set of rules and regulations that they must read, sign, and have filed. Their signature signifies their understanding of the expectations, the potential consequences for their actions, and their acceptance of these consequences. The Barber School adheres to a strict no-excuse policy, given the seriousness of their responsibility as future professionals licensed by the State of North Carolina to serve the public. Certain procedures are non-negotiable and must be followed without exception:<\/p>\n<p>-ID cards are required to be worn at all times on school premises<br \/>\n-Smocks are required to be worn on-premises and zipped up at all times<br \/>\n-Profanity is prohibited<br \/>\n-No student is allowed to leave the premises for break or lunch without clocking out<br \/>\n-Phone calls should be made\/ returned on authorized breaks. It violates the NCBBE regulation for a student to take a break without being clocked out.<br \/>\n-CFCC is a non-smoking facility. Students who smoke must leave the premises completely to smoke. Students cannot smoke in their own vehicle on college property. College property includes any facility owned or rented by the College.<br \/>\n-Lack of professional ethical conduct<br \/>\n-Students are to follow all safety and practical procedures<\/p>\n<p>Barbering is a profession demanding the highest level of conduct from its practitioners. Students are expected to adhere to a strict code of professional conduct and ethics.<\/p>\n<p>Cape Fear Community College Barber School maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of disrespect, whether it is directed towards oneself, fellow students, customers, representatives from the North Carolina State Board of Barber Examiners (NCBBE), educators, or any other staff member of CFCC.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that Cape Fear Community College Barber School is certified by the North Carolina State Board of Barber Examiners, which reserves the right to conduct inspections during the facility&#8217;s operational hours. The Board imposes fines on the school for violations of specific rules. It is crucial for students to understand that any fines imposed on the school due to a student&#8217;s failure to comply with the rules will be the sole responsibility of that student.\n<\/p> <\/div> <h6 class=\"iwi-target-5\"> <a href=\"#\"> Attendance Policy <\/a> <\/h6> <div id=\"5\" class=\"\"> Attendance and participation in class are required. Students are responsible for all content covered during class regardless of whether or not present.
