With strong demand, competitive pay, and opportunities for advancement, HVAC offers a rewarding and stable career path.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Course Options<\/h4> <div class=\"bg-light p-4\"> <h6>Intro to Refrigeration and HVACR Electrical<\/h6>\n<p>This course is designed to provide students with basic refrigeration process used in mechanical refrigeration and air conditioning systems and introduce electricity as it applies to HVACR equipment. Topics include: terminology, safety, identification and function of components: refrigeration cycle, tools\/instrumentation used in mechanical refrigeration systems, power sources, interaction of electrical components, wiring of simple circuits and the use of electrical test equipment. Upon completion, students should be able to identify refrigeration systems and components, explain the refrigeration process and the tools used in the trade.<\/p>\n<p>Students will earn their OSHA 10 certification and EPA certification.\n<\/p> <\/div> <hr \/> <div class=\"bg-light p-4\"> <h6>Intro to Refrigeration<\/h6>\n<p>This course introduces the basic refrigeration process uses in mechanical refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Topics include terminology, safety, and identification and function of components; refrigeration cycle; and tools and instrumentation used in mechanical refrigeration systems. Upon completion, students should be able to identify refrigeration systems and components, explain the refrigeration process, and use the tools and instrumentation of the trade.<\/p>\n<p>Students will earn their EPA certification.\n<\/p> <\/div> <hr \/> <div class=\"bg-light p-4\"> <h6>Intro to HVAC Residential Design<\/h6>\n<p>This course introduces the principles and concepts of conventional residential heating and cooling system design. Topics include heating and cooling load<br \/>\nestimating, basic psychometrics, equipment selection, duct system selection, and system design. Upon completion, students should be able to design a basic residential heating and cooling system.<\/p>\n<p>Students will earn a J-1 certification (duct installation).\n<\/p> <\/div> <hr \/> <div class=\"bg-light p-4\"> <h6>HVACR Electricity<\/h6>\n<p>This course introduces electricity as it applies to HVACR equipment. Emphasis is placed on power sources, interaction of electrical components, wiring of simple circuits, and the use of electrical test equipment. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate good wiring practices and the ability to read simple wiring diagrams.<\/p>\n<p>Students will earn an OSHA 10 certification.\n<\/p> <\/div> <hr \/> <div class=\"bg-light p-4\"> <h6>Heating\/Heat Pump Technology<\/h6>\n<p>This course covers the fundamentals of heating including gas, and electric heating systems. This course will also cover the principles of air source and water source heat pumps. Emphasis is placed on safety, efficiency testing, electrical power, and control systems, modes of operation, defrost systems, refrigerant charging, and system performance. Upon completion, students should be able to explain the basic gas, and electrical heating system, and understand and analyze system performance and perform routine service procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Students will earn a J-2 certification (gas piping).\n<\/p> <\/div>  <div class=\"p-2 py-4 mb-3\">  <div class=\"iwi-accordion\">  <div id=\"tech-physical-reqs\" class=\"\"> <h4 class=\"iwi-target-container-requirements accordion-alt-heading\"> <a href=\"#\"> Course Technical &amp; Physical Requirements <\/a> <\/h4> <div id=\"container-requirements\" class=\"accordion-alt-container rounded-lg shadow-sm\"> <strong>To be successful in this course, students must be able to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"mt-2\">\n<li>Technical standards for HVAC classes (Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology) include essential physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities required to safely install, maintain, and troubleshoot systems.<\/li>\n<li>Key standards involve lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, reading electrical schematics, using diagnostic tools (gauges, meters), and adhering to OSHA and EPA refrigerant handling regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul> <\/div>  <\/div>  <\/div>  <\/div> ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Learn the fundamentals of HVAC systems through hands-on, short-term training designed to prepare you for entry-level employment in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry.
