General Statutes.<\/p>\n<h4>Class Delivery<\/h4>\n<h6>In-Person<\/h6>\n <a href=\"https:\/\/cfcc.edu\/job-training\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2020\/09\/CFCC-Notary-Information-Booklet-seated-class.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> Get the information packet <span class=\"iwicon-circle-arrow-right\"> <\/a> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h6>Online<\/h6>\n <a href=\"\/job-training\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2020\/10\/CFCC-Online-Notary-Information-Booklet.pdf\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> Get the information packet <span class=\"iwicon-circle-arrow-right\"> <\/a> \n <a class=\"button btn-small\" href=\"https:\/\/cfcc-register.fundfive.com\/filtered\/course\/notary_public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Search and Register for Upcoming Courses <\/a> \n<h4>Requirements for Becoming a Notary Public in the State of North Carolina<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"px-3\">\n<li>Must be at least 18 years of age or legally emancipated.<\/li>\n<li>A clear copy\/photo of your valid photo ID.<\/li>\n<li>Your Social Security Number.<\/li>\n<li>Must reside or have a regular place of work or business in North Carolina.<\/li>\n<li>Must reside legally in the United States.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to speak, read and write the English language.<\/li>\n<li>Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Pass the Notary Public course, consisting of 8 hours, with a score of at least 80%. <em>Licensed members of North Carolina State bar are exempt.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Purchase and keep the 2016 North Carolina Notary Public Manual.<\/li>\n<li>You must not have been convicted of a felony in North Carolina, or a felony in any state that is considered as a felony in North Carolina.<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Have you ever been convicted by any court of a felony or misdemeanor? Call the Secretary of State before taking this class at (919) 814-5400.<\/li>\n<li>Have you been charged with an offense for which trial is still pending?
