Take the first step in becoming one with a diploma in Practical Nursing, where you&#8217;ll practice the art of nursing under the direction of a qualified health professional. <\/div> <p>Practical Nursing is a career in which the individual practices the art of nursing under the direction of a qualified health professional. The practical nurse is a valuable member of the health care team who is active in the promotion of health, prevention of disease, and care of the sick. <\/p>\n<p>The Practical Nursing diploma program is full-time and twelve months in length. It prepares the student to provide direct client care in all settings where nursing takes place under the supervision of a registered nurse, licensed physician or licensed dentist. The graduate will participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in cooperation with other members of the health care team. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN), which is required for practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.<\/p>\n<h4>Selective Admission Process<\/h4>\n<p>The TEAS test is a minimum requirement to apply for this program. Potential applicants are encouraged to <a href=\"https:\/\/cfcc.edu\/admissions\/health-sciences-enrollment\/request-information\/\"> complete this form <\/a> if they are not sure whether they are meeting eligibility requirements or have questions about the test.
