About the Course

Computers in the Workplace-STRIVE is a professional development program in partnership with the YWCA. It is designed for students to become trained in digital programs necessary to become more competitive in the job market. Information includes skills for seeking current employment and steps needed to reach future employment. Course work includes digital skills, financial independence, education/career advancement opportunities, entrepreneurship opportunities, financial independence, leadership skills, teamwork and collaboration, and presentation skills. Programs covered include:

  • Gmail
  • Google Calendar
  • YNAB
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft OneDrive
  • OneNote
  • Canvas
  • LinkedIn

Individuals will learn and practice skills sought after by local employers in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
