Construction Management
This curriculum prepares individuals for exciting and rewarding careers in the construction management field. Such positions may include superintendent, assistant project manager, estimator, scheduler, safety manager, or foreman. Coursework includes construction materials and methods, business management, building science, green building, planning, scheduling, cost control, human relations, estimating, safety training and building codes.
Students will also gain proficiency in specific hands-on construction-related skills such as carpentry, surveying, mechanical/electrical systems and materials testing. In addition to learning basic computer skills, students will also learn how to operate cutting-edge computer-based software such as Autodesk Computer Aided Drafting, Revit Building Information Modeling, and Scheduling and Estimating software. Graduates of our Associate in Applied Science Degree are also eligible to take part in our transfer agreements with select universities in North Carolina!
