CCP is a dual enrollment program that allows eligible high school students to enroll in college-level courses at Cape Fear Community College while still completing their high school requirements. It provides a head start on college education and offers a seamless transition from high school to college.

Tuition Free College Courses
Joining CCP offers tuition-free college-level courses, helping you save money and gain a competitive advantage in achieving your academic and career aspirations. Although tuition is covered, students are responsible for fees, textbooks, and course materials.
Diverse Course Offerings
CCP provides diverse courses spanning STEM, humanities, arts, and professional programs, enabling exploration of academic disciplines and career paths aligned with your interests and goals.
College Credit Transferability
Completing CCP transfer courses earns you transferable college credits, providing a head start toward your degree and reducing the time and cost of higher education. These courses are part of the approved Transfer Course List approved under the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (NC CAA) , facilitating credit transfer between NC community colleges and public universities.

Two of the college transfer pathways, the Associate in Arts Pathway and Associate in Science Pathway , are special components of this NC CAA. These two pathways lead to the respective Associate in Arts and Associate in Science Degrees.

Under the CAA, transferring students receive various assurances, including:

  • Guaranteed admission to one of the 16 UNC institutions (as outlined in the Transfer Assured Admissions Policy ).
  • The ability for graduates of two-year Associate in Arts and Associate in Science programs to transfer with junior status to constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina.
