Business owner Teresa Huffmon is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. For over 20 years, she was employed by Atlantic Neurosurgical and Spine Specialists as a practice manager. Ms. Huffmon created significant growth in this role by successfully implementing a strategic marketing strategy, transitioning the office structure into a cross-trained team, and recruiting high-valued staff. In her current role as owner and manager of VanBuren Properties, she executes her results-oriented approach to fuse financial efficiency, human resource management, and contract negotiations.

Ms. Huffmon currently serves on the board of The Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington, the Cape Fear Literacy Council, and the UNCW Swain Center for Executive Education and Economic Development advisory board. She is a devoted Sunday School teacher at Pine Valley Methodist Church. Teresa enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, and hanging out with her kids.
