Biography

Ryan Brabrand hails from Hendersonville, NC, but has been a resident of Wilmington since 2010. He has been engaged in part-time teaching at UNCW since 2017 and transitioned to a full-time role at CFCC in the fall of 2023. His professional background includes working in community mental health, where he provided support to individuals with severe mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Ryan’s most recent role was serving as the Director for Mobile Crisis, responsible for covering Southeastern NC. When not on campus, he dedicates his time to quality moments with his wife and son. Apart from his family, his passion for education is a significant source of joy in his life.
