CFCC establishes articulation agreement with UNC Pembroke to address teacher shortage in Pender County
Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is proud to announce a new articulation agreement with the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) aimed at addressing the need for qualified teachers in Pender County. This strategic partnership offers a seamless pathway for CFCC students to transfer directly into UNCP’s Educator Preparation Program, providing a vital pipeline of trained educators for the region.
This agreement includes several key components designed to support aspiring teachers:
- Dual admission to CFCC and UNCP
- Prioritized and expedited admission to UNCP for CFCC students who qualify
- Access to UNCP pre-advising
- Students enrolled in the Educator Preparation Program will complete their clinical practice in Pender County Schools
