NCWorks Career Center Now Located at CFCC’s Downtown Campus
Wilmington, NC (August 12, 2025) – Cape Fear Community College has been awarded the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I grant by the Cape Fear Workforce Development Board. Through this grant, CFCC is now responsible for administering adult and dislocated worker services in New Hanover and Pender Counties. In addition to providing these career services, CFCC will serve as the new NCWorks Career Center, replacing the former NCWorks office on 17th Street.
Services offered at the NCWorks Career Center at CFCC include:
- Career guidance and job search support
- Access to training, certifications, and apprenticeships
- Help with resumes, cover letters, and interview prep
- Labor market information and career exploration tools
- Assistance with NCWorks online
- Job fairs, hiring events, and workshops
NCWorks Career Center Locations and Hours:
- Downtown Wilmington Campus (G Building): Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Burgaw Center (100 Industrial Drive, Burgaw): Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (by appointment on other days)
- Surf City Center (621 NC-210 E, Hampstead): Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (by appointment on other days)
