CFCC to Host Public Safety Career Discovery Night

Wilmington, NC (April 7, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College will host a Public Safety Career Discovery Night on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at CFCC’s North Campus (4500 Blue Clay Road, Castle Hayne). This event will offer a chance to explore careers in fire, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and other public safety pathways. As New Hanover and Pender counties continue to experience rapid population growth, the demand for highly trained public safety professionals is increasing.

There is no cost to attend the event. It is designed for prospective students, career changers, and any community member interested in pursuing a meaningful career in public safety. Attendees will have the chance to learn about CFCC’s public safety programs, meet instructors, and learn about training pathways that lead directly to in-demand careers.

During the event attendees will:

  • Explore career opportunities in fire, EMS, and law enforcement
  • Engage with faculty and industry professionals
  • Learn about program requirements, certifications, and career outcomes
  • Experience hands-on demonstrations and training environments
