CFCC to Offer Adult High School at North Campus Starting July 2026

Wilmington, NC (April 22, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College will start offering its Adult High School program at the North Campus beginning this July. This will help more people complete high school and earn a diploma. The program is offered at no cost to the student.
CFCC’s Adult High School diploma is given in partnership with New Hanover County and Pender County Schools. It is accepted by jobs, colleges, and universities across the country.
To earn a diploma, students must complete 22 credits, including:
- 4 English credits
- 4 Math credits
- 3 Science credits
- 4 Social Studies credits
- 1 Health and Physical Education credit
- 6 Elective credits
Classes are nine weeks long. Each class has 68 hours of learning time. Students must attend 64 hours to pass.
Students have the option of taking classes in person or online. In-person classes are offered at the following times:
- Afternoon: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
- Evening: 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.
