CFCC Announces New Transfer Agreements with East Carolina University for Public Safety and Criminal Justice Students

Wilmington, NC (July 6, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College has entered into new transfer agreements with East Carolina University, creating clear transfer pathways for students pursuing careers in public safety and criminal justice to continue their education and earn bachelor’s degrees in their fields.

Through the partnership, eligible CFCC graduates can transfer directly into the following East Carolina University bachelor’s degree programs:

  • Bachelor of Science in Security Studies
    • To be eligible, students must successfully complete an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Public Safety Administration and meet institutional GPA requirements.
  • Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology
    • To be eligible, students must successfully complete an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Criminal Justice Technology and meet institutional GPA requirements.
