Public Notice

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of Cape Fear Community College intends to consider a resolution at its meeting on November 19, 2026 at 5:00pm, to be held at Union Station, approving the donation of the following surplus, obsolete, or unused personal property:

Property: 1981 Atlantic Marine 134-Foot Research Vessel, R/V CAPE HATTERAS, 134 ft, IMO No. 8023541 / Call Sign WDH2897, Asset/Lot #18858-291, a 134-foot all-welded steel offshore research/oceanographic vessel built by Atlantic Marine Florida, LLC.

Proposed recipient: North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Marine Fisheries

Proposed disposition: Donation without monetary consideration pursuant to G.S. 115D-15 and G.S. 160A-280, subject to the Board of Trustees determining that the property is surplus, obsolete, or unused and approving the donation by resolution.
