Cape Fear Community College to Host GIS Career Discovery Night

Wilmington, NC (September 15, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College invites prospective students and community members to a GIS Career Discovery Night on Thursday, September 24, at 5:00 p.m. at the North Campus NB Building, room NB135, located at 4500 Blue Clay Road.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is the powerful mapping and data technology that helps communities plan cities, respond to storms, protect the environment, and make smart business decisions.

This event offers attendees an inside look at GIS tools through live equipment demonstrations and an overview of high-demand career pathways, program options, course costs, and financial aid.
