Wilmington, NC (October 6, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College is now a FANUC certified robotics training institution, allowing students to earn high-demand industry credentials at no additional cost.

Through certified instructor credentials in FANUC’s Certified Education Robot Training (CERT), CFCC is now the only institution within a 60-mile radius offering FANUC training that is certified through the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute.

Enrolled students can earn the FANUC Handling Tool and Programming certification through CFCC’s ATR-212 Industrial Robotics course. This credential provides comprehensive instruction, preparing students with the core competencies and automation technology skills for today’s manufacturing industry.

“The FANUC certification covers everything from initial setup to putting robotic systems directly into production,” said Jordan Crowson, CFCC Electronics Engineering Technology Program Director. “Past graduates who earned this credential have successfully leveraged it to secure jobs programming robots across a variety of industrial applications.”

This course is part of the Electronics Engineering program. It requires no prerequisites and is open to all students across any discipline.
