CFCC Invites Future Game Developers to Career Discovery Night

Wilmington, NC (October 12, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College invites prospective students to explore careers in the gaming industry during its upcoming Career Discovery Night: Simulation and Game Development on October 22, 2026.

The free event will take place from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on CFCC’s Downtown Campus in the L Building at 415 North 2nd Street, room 218.

Attendees will learn how a passion for gaming can become a career through CFCC’s Simulation and Game Development program. The event will feature an overview of the program and hands-on opportunities to explore the creative and technical skills involved in developing video games.

CFCC students use Unreal Engine 5, an industry-standard game development platform, to learn game design, develop interactive gameplay, and transform creative concepts into playable experiences. The program prepares graduates for a variety of careers, including game designer, game programmer, level designer, content designer, asset modeler, and gameplay animator.
