CFCC Partners with Tate Farm by the Pond for a “Fun Day at the Farm” Community Event

Wilmington, NC (June 29, 2025) – Cape Fear Community College will partner with Tate Farm by the Pond to host Fun Day at the Farm on Saturday, July 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at 5514 NC-11, Willard, North Carolina. The event is free and open to the public.
This free, family-focused educational event provides community members with an opportunity to explore career pathways and learn about the many programs available at CFCC while enjoying a morning of tractor tours and farm animals.
Individuals in attendance will have the chance to meet CFCC faculty and staff and explore programs including truck driver training, welding, aviation, veterinary technology, career readiness, nurse aide training, and many others.
“This event is a great opportunity for families to experience the many educational and career pathways available through Cape Fear Community College while enjoying a fun day together in the community,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “By partnering with Tate Farm by the Pond, we’re able to bring workforce training opportunities directly to Pender County residents and help connect people of all ages with programs that can lead to rewarding careers.”
