Wilmington, NC (November 4, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College invites the community to its annual Manufacturing Day Expo on Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on CFCC’s North Campus (4500 Blue Clay Road) in the NB building.

The expo will highlight in-demand careers in manufacturing, featuring more than 35 local employers representing their industries. Attendees will have the opportunity to discover career options, connect face-to-face with regional employers, and learn about the training needed to enter these growing fields.

CFCC will showcase numerous programs, including Computer Integrated Machining, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Technology, and Welding. These programs offer training that aligns with regional workforce needs.  In fact, CFCC was recently recognized by the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation for its outstanding engagement with manufacturing employers.

“Manufacturing continues to grow in southeastern North Carolina, and CFCC is committed to preparing the skilled workforce our local employers need,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “This expo is a great opportunity for students and job seekers to explore rewarding, high-paying careers, meet local employers, and see firsthand the opportunities available right here in our community.”

Some of the employers attending include Corning, GE, Protocase, Wilmington Grill, and Flow Sciences. The expo is free and open to the public. High school students and job seekers are encouraged to attend.
