CFCC to Host Series of FAFSA Completion Events

CFCC to Host Financial Aid and FAFSA Night on January 13

Wilmington, NC (April 29, 2026) – Current and prospective students are invited to attend a FAFSA completion support event to get help paying for college. CFCC will host four events across its campus locations.

  • Wednesday, May 13, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. – North Campus, NA Building
  • Wednesday, May 20, 6:00 – 7 :30 p.m. – Burgaw Center, Room 110
  • Wednesday, May 27, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. – Surf City Center, Room 119
  • Monday, June 1, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. – Downtown Campus, Union Station room 212

The FAFSA is a free online form used to apply for financial aid, including grants, scholarships, work-study, and student loans to help pay for college. Trained financial aid staff will be on hand to guide participants through the form step-by-step.

To make the most of the event, students and parents are strongly encouraged to visit  studentaid.gov  and create an FSA ID at least 72 hours before the event. Both the student and a parent will need their own FSA ID so financial aid staff can help walk them through the process during the session. Dependent students require their parents’ information. A student is considered a dependent if they are under 24, unless they are married, have children, or are in the military.

Financial aid representatives will be on site to answer questions, provide resources, and help students complete the FAFSA correctly.
